Cottage Info

The upstairs sitting room is light and airy with fabulous views to Criffel and along the shoreline, as well as across the Solway estuary.  It is furnished with comfy settees, a large armchair and rocking chair, a dining area with a cosy wood burning stove for chilly days.  There is a television and DVD player with a good selection of DVD’s along with a radio and CD player.  Also on this floor is a small cloakroom, with a loo and hand basin.

Next floor down is the kitchen which is very well equipped with plenty of china and glasses, dishwasher, fridge, deepfreeze, a double oven, hob, and microwave.  There is a dining table and chairs and a butchers block trolley.  We provide a supply of basics for the kitchen ie dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, and some condiments.  A more detailed list is available on request.

On the ground floor there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed, over looking the shore line and one with twin beds, with a summerhouse view.  Both bedrooms have plenty of hanging and drawer space, hairdryers and electric blankets along with a digital radio.

The bathroom has a bath and a large separate shower with a pressured shower, loo and hand basin.

The cupboard under the stairs has a washer/dryer, clothes airer, ironing board, iron, washing basket and pegs.  This is where all the cleaning materials, vacumn cleaner and other items are kept.

There is a entrance hall and a inner hall, all of which are tiled and pet friendly.

The gravel garden is small and contained, with a summerhouse.  There are chairs and a table if you would like to eat outside and chairs also under the balcony of the summerhouse.

Parking for one car is just outside the gate.

The cottage is heated by night store heaters and panel heaters.  Wood for the wood burner is provided and the cost of heating is included in the price of hiring the cottage, along with cotton sheets and duvet covers.
